Apps Photo app

I'm planing to buy atv4 for 2 reasons: infuse4 and the ability to view family photos from my Synology NAS. As per what I've found online it seems that the default photos app does not have the ability to connect to local smb shares. Is this correct? Are there any apps on the store that give you this functionality?

Plex will provide access to your photos, but I'm not sure if that's part of the free version or the subscription.

I was thinking about Plex also, but I'm hoping that there is an app specifically made for photo viewing from local shares.

I'm using "FileBrowserTV".

Got the atv4 and discovered that there is actually a DS Photo app for it.
