Photo Booth: Disable Flash

....so yea. Is there anyway to disable the white screen "flash" when using photo booth? sometimes I like the darkness in the picture and the whitening of the screen is too bright. Tried looking on apple.com section but couldnt really find anything. Thanks

Well you could turn the screen off that might work.

follow up stupid question: How do you turn the screen off? If I just push the power button in the back, it puts the imac to sleep?

Hmm I've never thought of turning it off.

system preferences>displays>display tab>brightness bar.

or... f1-f2 to lighten/brighten the display.
