I am replacing original 2016 iPhone SE with an iPhone 13 mini. Both phones running iOS 15.7

I backed up the SE to my mac mini, then I restored the backup to my iPhone 13 mini.

SE shows 1261 photos, 116 videos - the 13 mini shows 1191 photos, 111 videos. Why is this? Thanks!

Your asking my macOS version prompted me to do some upgrading. I upgraded:

macOS from 12.5.1 to 12.6
iOS on both iPhones to 15.7

And I re-did backup of old phone to mac mini, and re-did erase / restore of the new phone, and now the count is correct. Thanks!

man ran into same issue AGAIN

Replacing an iPhone 6S running 15.7 (says its the latest) to an iPhone 12 mini running 16.0 (says its the latest).

iPhone 6S - 2105 photos / 40 videos
iPhone 12 mini - 2051 photos / 37 videos

Not sure why, but backing up iPhone 6S a second time then restoring a second time the photo count agrees.

So I guess I need to backup twice / restore all five phones I'm upgrading in my family 🙂 wonderful
