Photo edges? I'm stumped-best software?

Hi, I am a brand spankin' new Mac user, I love it, but I need a program so I can add simple photo edges. I'd like to use something that would make my photo look like a poloroid, or have tattered edges, vintage, photo corners, or a simple white or black border, etc....... What is the best software to use for this? thanks 😕 much!
