Photo file size very small from iPhone 7

I see that I have iCloud photos on but clicking on that doesn’t load another menu. Images taken with native camera are less than 1mb in size. I want the largest file size possible from my device. What am I missing?

There is a new high compression format in iOS 11. It can be turned off in settings -> camera -> formats

I saw that and have it set to Most Compatible. Should have indicated that.
