Photo library annoyance

Haven't been able to find this through search, apologies if that is because I am being thick.

Have noticed some odd behaviour from my iPhone 4 when using the (brilliant) camera and photo albums from iPhoto.

Any changes I make to the photo albums from the computer (such as removing photos from camera roll via iPhoto, or adding photo albums via iTunes/iPhoto) do not show on the iPhone when sync is complete. They only appear when I use the camera to take a photo.

Very odd. Anyone else seen this, or something similar?
