It Looks Like The Iphones are at different stages

In addition to the left one being bigger, the home button looks like it is already in place versus on the right there is still a hole?

I know the light is reflecting off the phone on the left, but there does not seem to be a hole where the home button should be. Let's see what happens

No Bigger Screen iPhone 5s

Poor Apple...stocks will dip below $350 when the "same" iPhone 5s is released. Apple runs out of design idea? I wish something like 4.5" iPhone 5s for this year and 5" iPhone 6 next year:

Why are people still speculating that 5S will be any different compared to 5 in terms of the dimensions/design? Have none of us learned from 3/3S and 4/4S? Expecting the design to be different between 5 and 5S would be setting ourselves up for a disappointment. Fool me once...

Yeah, there's definitely not a hole there. Praying it's a fingerprint scanner.

But it doesn't mean it won't happen. Has Apple said that 5s to be the same as 5 or even there's any 5s at all?
The point is to release something that's unpredictable and wow the users just like Steve Job's "One More Thing". I'm a fan of Apple products (I bought iPod Mini, Nano, Shuffle, iPad 1, 2, 3 and 4, iPhone 3, 4 and 5, Apple TV, Mac Mini, Macbook Air). And I have to admit that Apple has lost its edge in the product releases.

Because Samsung don't offer iOS on their devices. Many of us would rather have smaller screens instead of an inferior operating system.

LOL Oh, man, Gizmodo comments section would blow up if you wrote this on there.

(My 4 month experiment with the Nexus 4 is over. I don't think I can wait until the 5S comes out for me to switch back to my 4S. Good riddance, Android. I wish you worked a little better for me. I wanted to like you so badly.)

I know it's the angle, but the one on the left looks much bigger.

I know it's because it's just a picture on a monitor, but both phones look to have a screen size of about 1.5".

They also look very, very thin - almost 2 dimensional.

Oh wait - it's because it's just a picture on a monitor.

That picture is pretty distorted (wide angle shot at a short distance, leading to weird perspective) - look at the way the 2 green 'stripes' appear to diverge, even tough they must be parallel.

I'm on the fence and thinking about giving android another shot with the GS4. Though...no way in hell will I give up my iPhone 5.

It's going to be nice and ready to activate it there are too many annoying androidisms that I remember from yesteryear

Dieing to get hands on a 5S and leave Android far behind, sick of S3, having 100% battery at night, when i wake up 7-8h later its down to 61%..

Sorry Apple, i'm back now! ;)

the only reason why I will not try anymore Samsung phones : Android.
As much as I want a little bigger screen than past iPhones , I am afraid to switch to Samsung or LG phones because the OS is just not for me. Lags, touch feedbacks are just ugh. I think iOS is so good because it limits the customizability but then the performance is so good.

If the iPhone 5s does indeed come out in September with the launch of IOS 7, that will give it enough time for the hype to die down some. As there are so many places that sell iPhones, I would imagine you will be able to find it somewhere. I heard they were making some different variations of the iPhone, a cheaper model for those not wanting to spend the extra cash on the 5s, and then the 5s itself. Me, personally, I would rather spend the extra money to get the actual 5s, not some cheap version of the iPhone.

Take it from someone who has had several android phones, the bigger screen is great, but the bugs, the lagging, random restarts makes it not even worth it. I had an iPhone 3g years ago that worked better than any android phone I have had to date, and that is sad due to the fact of how long ago the iPhone 3g came out. I'm looking forward to the release of the 5s in September or October, smaller screen or not, the performance is what I seek over a bigger screen.

He did say 5-6 inches . . . not 7. Besides, the iPad mini makes a pretty terrible phone.

Looks bigger. Please, no.

I still don't get why some don't want to have TWO iPhone models, one for folks that like the past and loathe change, and one that's bigger for folks that embrace new technology and love to actually DO and SEE things on their phones.

You must be doing something TERRIBLY wrong. My wife's S3 has all of the antennas on and only reaches 63% by around midday on the second day. And that's if she doesn't charge it the night before.

On my Note II I get to about 60% by the end of the day with heavy usage and GPS/BT turned off when I am not using it. Now, since i actually use my phone for more than just Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter my batt doesn't last as long as when I first got it. I could get up to three days on one charge.

Why wouldn't you plug it in to recharge at night? This makes no sense to me.

Because folks just like taking cheap shots and acting foolish. Even Jobs said that about the first iPad. "Just plug it in!" said Jobs when asked what someone should do when the battery dies.

Now, I'd love to see a larger iPhone. I don't see iOS as an operating system that allows me to personalize the way I work and do things. For example: using a stylus to jot down handwritten notes, pulling up a note pad app overtop of my web browser/phone without pressing five buttons, or being able to use three apps at one time effectively.

But I might switch gears in the coming months to a Galaxy Note 8 in place of my dusty iPad (which the Note II easily replaced) and an iPhone (with a larger screen) in place of my Note II.

I don't agree here, it could be very likely Apple would like to release a fresh product to go with a fresh iOS7. This could very likely be the reduced price iPhone 5 that will be announced at $99 or free when new phone (5s or 6) comes out.

Do I think iPhone will just be a 5s, Yes. Is there a chance 6 could come out, maybe.

If you look closely at the two phones, you'll notice their form factors are different. It is true that the angle of the photo is definitely causing some distortion, but the phone that is closer on the left side does not have the same form factor as the iPhone 5. It looks more like an iPhone 4s.

Also the phone on the left does not show the space for the Home button as the phone on the right shows it very clear.

Unless these are two different models of the 5s (in the same assembly line???), I would say this photo is a fake.

This may have been addressed already, but I'm pretty sure it's just the angle. If you look closely at the upper speaker and proximity sensor on the left hand display, they are the same configuration as the 5 but the speaker looks more "stretched." I attribute that to angle distortion.

Also, the left hand display has a glare from the lighting over where the home button should be. If you look close enough, you can make out the home button. It is not absent, just covered by the glare. I think this photo is genuine.

On a side note, I'm surprised the person taking the picture was able to sneak in his iPhone (not sure that's what took the pic, but the frame and orientation fit). Usually any photographic items are confiscated on these new product production lines and workers are subject to searches.

No, they're the same its angle, perspective and lighting reflections. Same hole on both, same screen on both sides.

You can't do and see things on the iPhone 5, in that case there is something wrong with your eyes not the phone.

Making a bigger device is foolish, its fad because the only way these other companies can make their devices more powerful than the iPhone is to make it much bigger so they can easily fit all the extra processing in there without having to work hard on engineering it into a smaller size.

Battery life is dire on these devices and if you really want one, go and buy one (not cheap Samsung ****, get something well made like the HTC One or the Sony Xperia Z) Apple should concentrate on devices with usable screen sizes that fit properly in your pockets where I do my best to reduce bulk with minimalist wallets and never carrying change or cash, not increasing it with 5-6inch phones!!

Trust me, it was meant in jest . . . unlike the narrow-minded commenters I quoted.

You must be kidding right? You HAVE to be joking now.

insert smug Apple user comments here with a bunch of ****** because I am cursing and a bunch of !!!!! because I want to yell without using all caps.

AH I get it now. YOU don't want the iPhone to be bigger because it would cease being a fashion statement and start being a workaholic's dream device. Got it!

Seriously though I'd be with you on those comments but real life has shown me that nothing you said is even remotely the truth. I've tried not liking Android handsets, and yes, some suck, but most are just fine for what one may need it to do. Most of the time, as long as the device does what the end user needs it to do, like my Note II, then all else is really moot.

p.s. on a side note (pun intended), I wish my Note II was cheap. It's the most expensive phone I've ever had . . . . much more expensive than my 32GB iPhone 3GS.

same old thing! apple should bring up something new now! it's ridiculous to see a newly designed iOS on a "new" device using the same old design and specs.
