Haven't had anything to post here in a while....

I was in Long Beach for a funeral and visited the beach with my mom and sister.

Times Square Taxi

I took this on a trip to NYC in February. Annoyingly uploading to Flickr seems to have really damaged the quality. Anyone got any tips on how to limit quality loss?

I like this shot. It seems to capture the colour and confusion of city life...

Thanks for the comments about my two-headed sheep. I will never be able to wander the Lakeland fells without thinking the sheep have been attacked by paintballers. ;)

As a comedy writer I look for humorous photographs... but I don't find it easy. Some photographers have managed the trick. Elliott Erwitt springs to mind, and Martin Parr (though his people pix can seem a bit cruel)...

That's just the farmers mark... Like in this photo ;)

If farming practice in the UK is similar to the dutch practice, the farmer of this sheep is a pig. In the NL the sheep are marked during the mating process. :)
The male gets a marker tied to his chest so the farmer knows if he's doing his job properly.

You mentioned it is a farmer's mark. So I had this image of a farmer
with a marker tied to his chest. But I guess the farmers in the UK use these marks to mark their sheep on the hills, to keep them apart from other people's sheep. In the NL the sheep are kept in a fenced pasture, so there's no need to mark your property.

xclaibre nice shot of Dornoch, it's lovely up there.
It is indeed, here's another of the sunset on the beach that night.
