No need to apologise for 'another sunset shot'. I've seen a lot of sunsets - with and without a camera - and I've never thought "cliché". I've seen beautiful sunsets, beautiful women, beautiful landscapes... and I hope I'll see plenty more.

Things only become clichés when we stop looking afresh at our surroundings (though this seems to happen to most people by the age of 25 :().

Agree. I love that sunset shot. I spent more time looking at your picture than any other picture on this page (and that says a lot). Excellent composition.

I love grey skies :)

^^ Great composition. I love the clever positioning of the tree as if it is growing out of the stones

Earlier today

I decided I needed to get up into the woods today with my dogs, and maybe to pull out the camera if anything interesting materialized... but the light was so diffused and gentle through the overcast skies and forest canopy that I did a few b/w conversions...

Thank you very much Doylem & Thinkband. :D

Doylem I love your grey sky shot, I love the way that the tree stands out so well against it !

My Picture of the day

I can't decide which picture is my "Picture of the day", so i decided to post 3!
I took these in Airlie Beach, a popular tourist destination on the east coast of Australia. The river one was taken in a car driving at 100kmh from a bridge on the way home.

C&C Please

Not the coolest thing but thought the reflection of the post office sign in the rain water was interesting.

Taken during one of my frees at school. 28mm f2.8 1/200

By the way, can anyone suggest an alternate way to post these pictures other than imageshack?

I use Picasa web albums. They have an uploader program for mac and a plugin for iPhoto, and a complete application for windows. It's a google app.

Lots of folks use Flickr, but I just like Picasa albums better. I wish Google made their on-board Picasa application for Mac, because I prefer it over iPhoto - much more intuitive, believe it or not. I'm having to learn iPhoto now that I've picked up a Macbook Pro, and there are some definite learning curves, and strange ways of doing things, beginning with the library. But, at least the Picasa plug in works..:)

Grass Bokeh

I recently got a Pentax Macro lens, this is one of the latest shots with it, i thought I'd share with you.
