Can do a lot of the stuff in C1P relatively easily except for the textures (e.g. old/degraded film) that I would use Pixelmatr for. SOOC photos were pretty poor with lots of elections on glass and a general haze above the city. Comments always appreciated.

The monastery on the small island of Iona was found in 563 AD by St Columba, but the abbey in the pic - behind the tiny chapel - dates from the 12th century…
Got it in one! The post was one way to get rid of the polarisation artefacts on the coated glass in the viewing deck - polariser reduced reflections but resulted in horrible streaks that I disguised as "distressed" effects....

Definitely the second one, it has so much more character to it, with the slightly aged-like finishing.

Well Scotsman your ability to evoke nostalgia for my youth continues to amaze me ... the indoor fair at New Brighton was an occasional treat that even made the long bus ride (with a change at Woodside) worthwhile. Again, nice use of selective color.
For the semi industrial look you should check out the riverfront at New Ferry, Rock Ferry and Eastham.

While out walking Bob I saw a squirrel sitting on a tree stump looking as photogenic as can be...... unfortunately Bob also saw it and by the time I raised my camera to my eye it was halfway up a tree with acorn in mouth. Unfortunately I only had a 90mm on me at the time.

That is a very nice shot. Are you doing something, like free lensing, with the helios lens to get that really swirly bokeh? I've shot with a helios and I've never gotten that much effect from it.
No, not free lensing; my Helios was pretty much surplus once I got my hands on a Nikkor-S 50mm 1.4, so I reversed the front element to get a greater effect.
Of course, it won't focus as sharply now but I quite like it.
