I took this photo early in our stay. A few days later, a small boy saw the sign and ran away with his head between his hands, screaming, “Oh no, manatees!” We got quite a kick out of that.
Saw quite a lot of these around the Grand Canyon park. As soon as we arrived we had to avoid them in the parking lot. I had to move out of the way of this one later on the trail.
Just getting caught back up from a week at Turks & Caicos. Now settling back into real life with groceries, laundry, and all the boring stuff. Meanwhile I'd just rather edit photos from the trip. Unfortunately I didn't get as many as I'd hoped. It was so bright that I couldn't see the back of my camera, even for histograms to get a ballpark a lot of the time, so I have quite a few with missed focus or horrible exposures. But some I will be able to salvage.
Here is a view from just past the restaurant where we had dinner on our last night. I used my new-ish Lensbaby Velvet 56, and this was the first real time I'd tried it for something other than macro. Focus isn't quite on a boat like it should be, but I do like the softer focus effect. I probably should have been wearing my glasses when attempting to manually focus.
Also, has anyone heard from @Alexander.Of.Oz? I miss his Fenna posts, and I checked his profile and he hasn't been here in about three months. I hope he is well.
