This is a picture of a spot n the Ancient Trail in the Battelle Darby Creek Park in Columbus, OH, taken over the weekend. This is approximately the spot back in October of 2014 when I came across Sinclair. He was very young, and if you imagine his head (inset picture) poking around a tree about 4 feet above the ground then you will have a good idea of what I saw back then.

Back in the late 60's I had produce some photos for an exhibit for the Alumni Assoc. I used rear projection and still color photos on side panels. This photo was a time exposure of the Rochester skyline looking down the Genesee River. I believe the white line in the sky is an airplane heading for the airport or a scratch!

Scanned from a 4x5 transparency. Building with red light was Kodak's main offices.

Often heard, seldom seen by me. Nice.
This time of year, the resident Northern flickers in my neighborhood start their courting rituals. I filmed some interesting head-bobbing last year, but the truest sign is when one decides to rap on our metal chimney flue cap. It sounds like someone running a jackhammer in our living room. o_O
