Thanks for all the comments, trust me they are all written in my mind for the next shoot!

Here's one for today. I actually like the original because there was a lens flare and the picture was really bright like a lomograph. I fixed it anyway and I still like the colors :)

My issue with this is the smoker, I guess it would be nice if he insisted on smoking that the smoke didn't hide his face so much. The blown out sky distracts and pulls my eyes off the band to the sky. It also looks like the guy on the left on the wall wasn't ready.

I suggest a tighter crop and better exposure. You have a difficult scene to shoot light wise, I would at least attempt to under expose the scene to get some definition back in the sky. The tighter crop may fix it overall without a new image, but once those highlights are gone, they're gone.

Like to thank "srf4real" for the insider advice on a surfing vacation in Florida. We had a great time. The boys loved surf school. Kayaking with the manatees was fun for us and I think for them too. If it weren't for the broken wrist at the skateboard park by son #2 it would have been perfect. Thanks Rob!:D

WEll i took this shot today in a mine here. they had different lighting going on so i took 2 exposures... ISO 400 with a 17mm Sigma :)

Colors are nice oh and no tripod,I place the camera on a rail (a tube one, not a flat one) which made for a few tense seconds. but it came reasonably sharp I think..

C & C very welcome..

A shot from this morning

Sunlight filtered nicely through the trees illuminating the bright red petals. A bit of fill flash helped to bring out the other flowers from the shadows.

I really like the lighting and the repetition of verticals from foreground to background. I have to ask about the slightly diagonal streak patterns to the right of the tallest stalk. Looks like you cloned something out there. I can't imagine what else would create that pattern.

Another from yesterday

This from yesterday as well... Harsh light near noon, but it sort of gave the petals a painted look...
