I believe it is. I read somewhere, that the smaller the basket is often the older the balloon is. In other words as they get older and less reliable they are only licensed to take a smaller number of people.
So I haven't seen one in years either. Apparently they went into administration in 2007 but started up again in 2012. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kwik_Save

Another Balloon with a slightly different process. Might not be to everyone's taste, but I like it.

Me too - perhaps the best of the ballon shots IMHO. Each to their own.:)

Something different for me today. I spotted this scene as I was about to finish climbing the stairs at the State Library of South Australia yesterday. There was a particular type of quirk to it that really grabbed my eye.

Theres a compelling symmetry to it isnt there?

That and the Matrix - do I sit on the red seat or the blue seat? (The red pill blue pill scene)

Whatever your different process is AFB it works and works very well. The balloon silhouette with the flame is really very nice.

This one really catches my eye. The pencils in the plastic bucket look so out of place in the context of the scene and that makes it work so well. Well seen and captured Alex...love it!

I was unsure as to whether to straighten the red chair to perfectly symmetrical or not, but decided against it as kids aren't really that way. I didn't think of the Matrix scene, nicely thought of! ;)

Thanks, Peter. Coming from a sophisticated eye, such as yours, that's high praise indeed! I do think it's my most personal image thus far, even without people being present.

That is very cool. Just enough focus in back to give the impression of a scared lady seeing the spider. Well composed

Thanks :) I would've liked to have gotten a little closer to the spider for the shot, but the crop made it work. It was behind a gate from that angle and surrounded by a bunch of a greenery. A good spot for a web.

Woohoo nearly time! nice separation and wonderful bow-keh!!! ;-)
Thanks Kenoh - a bit of summer to come yet (I hope) . Considering it was taken with the bog-standard 24-105L which is not renowned for its bookay , I was pretty pleased myself.
