I agree with the others that the crop isn't the best. I think a vertical orientation would work well in general, but you've not gotten the bouquet in the right spot in the frame.
I also think you need a different bw conversion. I know you love your dark moody look but too much of the flowers blends into the background. You need more separation with the subject. (Sorry that last bit was out of the scope of the CC requested.)
Yes, when I got this picture of this Cooper Hawk (I believe), it was overlooking a field looking for rabbits. In fact the shot I got happened when the hawk left the fence post to swoop in on a rabbit. I couldn't get that excited on camera as they went over a hill. These big birds have to eat. My cat was almost a hawk snack once, but the cat was alert and jumped at the right moment.
Good luck with the crocs, gaters, and rattlers. I hope they stay out of your yard.
For a second I was wondering if that could you be, until you mentioned snow and below freezing. I’m curious what a Halloween flamingo looks like.I put those up every winter, and the wife throws them out. It's a battle. IF I see them, I pull them out, and put them up a few days later. When it's snowing, and below freezing for weeks at a time, I need *something* to brighten up the days. Even if it's just a fight with the wife over their existence. I even had some halloween flamingos, and she tossed them too. I wasn't able to save them from the trash truck. *sigh*
Could it be a California Peony? (using the PlantNet app)Anybody know what type of plant/flower this is? Taken in the Bay Area, CA in my neighbors garden.

Not exactly a pretty flower.
Every now and then during the winter months in Alaska, we have eagles and owls grabbing and taking off with the cats and small dogs that weight perhaps 6-10 pounds. Things like these are common in Alaska, including this one:Funny 'nature nurture' incident. New cocker spaniel puppy. Really young. First walk in the yard. All of a sudden he tries to take off running for the trees. I was surprised, but was able to restrain him, and then realized what spooked him. One of the falcons was circling overhead. Wow. Instinct was strong in that little guy, and after recently seeing one trying to take off dragging a rabbit, his fears weren't unjustified. I was just so surprised to see it happen. Wild... Funny too that after that one incident, he was way more relaxed when they were flying around the yard while we were out walking. He figured that I'd defend him I guess. It was cute. Yes, 'dad' will save you.
