How do you view the metadata for embedded photos?

Most photoediting software will show the EXIF metadata
But you can also get specific apps for it (like EXIF Viewer for iOS)

There is also the possibility to use free websites for reading such info (at the price of individually uploading the pictures - and with various success or limitations), f.i.
www.metadata2go.com
exifdata.com
exif-viewer.com
etc.

In the past the iPhoto app on iOS also supported viewing the EXIF data, something that is missing with Photos :(

Edit - adding

On OSX open a photo with the PREVIEW, then from the menu use Tools > Show Inspector > (i) > EXIF / IPTC
Tap/click on the image in the forum, look for the << arrow to pull up the sidebar. One of the subsections is the image metadata. For some reason it doesn’t always work though.

Yes, I've noticed that, too, that sometimes when one clicks on the image in the forum, if it's freshly added to the thread that the media/metadata thing will work, but if it's been around a while that it is better to just go to the person's profile and approach the media thing from there.

Since when is multiquoting a requirement on these forums? Tapatalk doesn’t seem to support it, which is the communication app for plenty users here.
