Got back into a Fuji setup again not too long ago. Got a manual focus 7A 35mm 1.4 and one of those red shutter nubbins from the Mrs for Christmas. Not very experienced with MF lenses, but it's been fun so far, and 50mm ffeq is pretty forgiving.

She's a beaut', Clark! :D
I need to do the same. What range of lens do you (& other folk here) have - and recommend?

Well, the higher the mm, the smaller the focal plane when shot wide open. 35mm here is more like 50mm in FF. I think going with something like 50mm ffeq or 35mm ffeq would be a good start, just for the all around flexibility. I like both for indoor shooting, and then just turn the focus peaking on in MF mode. Definitely not as hard as the old pentaprism days.

i have to say, i absolutely love how often you flip flop brands. 😍 and i mean this very sincerely!

What are you testing?
A lens I just got for Christmas.

Haha! Yeah, I thought I was doing well to have not changed in over a year. :D The funny part is how I mainly bounce back and forth on a couple models. I’m trying to make it a goal to stick to one for at least a year these days. One reason for the change was just to get interested in shooting again. Fuji has the film sims, which makes for some added challenge.

All of the huzzah is over (thank goodness) but I am thankful for the family time I had with my loved ones, the good food we ate, and God's greatest gift to me this past year is (and will always be) my newest grandchild. I am also very thankful for the new friends I have made here at MR and wish you all the best in the days to come. ~

My youngest on her favorite spot in the house, nothing like a nice warm amplifier! Last night she got a severe case of the zoomies, she ran from one end of my house to the other, checking windows and doors. Couldn't figure out what what was bothering her. About 4am this morning I heard the preverbal rumble of California, so I checked my earthquake app (a necessity out here) and sure enough there was a mild quake last night not far from here. She obviously felt it, and it freaked her out! Happy New Years everyone.
