These pelicans were riding the waves before any human even dreamed of such a thing. They just float along on the uplifting air caused by the energy of the swell as it peaks. Pretty cool.

We went down to Kioloa beach (NSW Australia) for this workshop. I woke up around 6:00AM to catch the first light but unfortunately it was so much cloudy that I could hardly see the sun. So I attempted to do some slow shutter shots and later HDRised them. This one turns out to be the best of the bunch.

Wow those colors come popping off the screen- yet the swan commands my attention. Very nice, but for some reason I want to rotate it counter clockwise just a few degrees.
