Was this done at that Mountains Edge park you told me about? I went up there on Wednesday, but it was raining, so i didnt really get to venture to far into, or even around the park.

Today's, first attempt at a portrait"

Clickable....

I was there in January, but didn't get around to working on this one until February, so it counts :)

Disneyland near closing time...

^^^^ Super sharp!

Since it's technically a new day here, how about a slightly different perspective of the same subject?

BTW, the building on the right is part of the athletes village.

Also, comparing the two, I think my white balance is off.

Bay Roberts Nfld.

A rock formation called the three sisters.

Very nice. NOW, what don't we understand about "Photo of the Day"? That's singular eh. Cheers

It's about an hour's drive east of Bakersfield, on the way up toward Lake Isabella. That whole region is really beautiful and very relaxing. You're lucky to live there!

Here's another shot from that area:

For me it works, I initially look through the frame, but soon notice the nice lighting and texture on the rock and tree giving a point of interest...and the shallow dof further brings them and their location out as subjects.
My eye isn't left searching as if it were "just a frame".
Just my observation.

Controversy is good, just look at Ken Rockwell ;)

I thought this was pretty neat. It's just a bunch of old TVs and computer monitors stacked up.

First picture

Hi there,
Wow...loads of cool pictures here. Thought I'd join in and share.
Took this while on snowboarding holiday in the north of Sweden. Fairly early morning and somewhere around -15C. Critique welcomed =)

Nikon d90, af-s 70-200mm VR @70mm, f2.8, ISO 200, handheld

Cheers

Whoa, I didn't know there were more members here other then myself from the lower mainland. Sweet! Go Canada Go!

I've been busy taking photos of as many Olympic related things I possible can. But I still need to go through them all. I was downtown at the Convention Center last week and I caught the sunrise. Had the opportunity to take some different kind of photos....

I didn't get exactly what I was looking for in the silhouette but it turned out alright.

I'm surprised too! Eh oh, Cana- nvm I hate that Pepsi chant. :p

Nice photo. How did you get the sun to look so nice. Where ever the sun is included in my photos it's just pure white and pretty much destroys my photo (and probably my sensor!). What's the trick?

I started the month with a strobed photo of my car so I figured I'd finish it the same way. Thankfully no snow this time.
