Fishing in the rain...

Thank you :)

I'm not happy with the focus on the petals but otherwise had fun shooting the image. I think part of the issue might be from shifting shadows and over saturation of the red channel caused by the long exposure and moving the point light source around. The camera was on a tripod and remotely triggered.

It is definitely a picture I will revisit in the near future.

I look forward to seeing the results! It's a theme I'm planning to visit when there are a few more flowers about. I started a bit last year but with out of focus backgrounds rather than solid ones and thought to myself "next year ..." Thank goodness for 'next year'! :)

The Aurora Australis would be a bit nearer for you I think! The further south you go the more likely you are to see it. I believe the cycle should peak next year too.

I'm about an hour's drive south of Sydney, I've never seen it from here, I might have to book a trip to Tasmania for next year :)

EXIF Summary: 1/200s f/8.0 ISO100 Tokina 12-24 f/4@15mm

This area was once a sand and gravel pit. It was purchased by Pierce County and resurrected as a park and golf course. Several of the large concrete ruins from it's industrial days were maintained for the sake of history. Part of the back nine of the golf course are on the left. It has bike and foot trails and a bridge over train tracks to the beach.
