I watched a PBS Nova program last night on the San Andreas fault, this where they first discovered the shift in the teutonic plates by two different types of rock at Mussel Rock. Scary program for us that live near the fault, even more so for people who live in LA! I live on top of the Hayward fault, worst I have felt here is a 4.5 that was right beneath my home.
