I posted a few Detroit pictures taken last Labor Day weekend in the September

Great stuff ... the Guardian Building, what an incredible example of Art Deco in America, highlighted by all that Pewabic Pottery Tile.

Nope, I'm a Canuck, who in an earlier life, spent a couple a days there every month, over a 10 year period on business. Attended numerous games at Tiger Stadium, numerous games at the Joe, drove everywhere, even in places I "shouldn't have" so I was told by the front doormen at the hotels I stayed at, marvelled at all the architecture ... all of it ... the good, the bad, and the ugly. Spent countless nights at Fishbones because I stayed mostly at the Atheneum (which seems to have slipped a little since then, if you believe TA) - also stayed at the RenCen when it was a Westin. Sorry to say, I haven't been there in a number of years, but I've never forgotten how enamoured I was with the city.

I bought a Nikon 200-500 mm f 5.6 lens recently. I paired it with my D7100 to shoot my granddaughter playing field hockey. I was really impressed with this lens. If you need the reach, for the price, Nikon got this lens right!

I don't know many Nikon shooters who haven't bought that lens! It's a great bit of glass for the money.
Would I prefer a 500mm or 600mm f 4? Sure, but I'd have to sell a kidney!

Nice. Pity I use a Canon.
Welcome back by the way!
Thanks, it's good to be back!

I think I will keep my kidney but there always lotto!

Great first attempt. How do you find it compared to shooting your usual subjects? Do you have to make other considerations other than the height of your tripod?
Not a lot different to be honest. It's a dude dressing up like a dudette, I usually shoot dudettes, soooo...business as usual?. The jokes told during the shoot were quite different though. :D
I like this in B&W but might be interesting in color or colour as you see fit.
I initially processed it in colour, but checked it out in b&w and just thought it looked classier.
