I really like this photo; as I was looking at it I thought I might have been tempted to take the lone, taller tree out in PS, but the composition is SO much better and interesting with it left in! Very nice shot!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate compliments from clearly skilled photographers as yourself as your shots have shown here. Yeah, the tree bothered me too but it was there and in general I don't like altering landscapes in PS.
Earlier, I had posted another shot taken nearby that I like better -
Happy New Year everyone! Sunset view of Catalina Island from Laguna Beach CA on Jan 1, taken with iPhone 15 Pro Max at 5x zoom. Super clear night after days of rain.
A particularly nasty slide conversion. If it was not part of a set I would not have bothered. Tried working from RAW, no go. Tried stacking over and unders no go. Eventually just worked with regional selections until I got something usable.
These snow crystals I came across a field while walking back from a day of skiing. The temp been mid 30’s daytime, mid 10’s night (Fahrenheit) multiple days in a row. No snow, yet these are neatly growing and so shiny and beautiful. Altitude about 6,500 feet. Big Sky, Montana, today.
