Fog rising from the still-icy lake and hitting yesterday's unexpectedly warm air was an unusual sight from my vantage point across the lake. It was eerie watching the fog rising higher and higher until it nearly obscured the houses.

They are the best to have around... they eat tons of ticks.
Not typically a problem for us since we're in the city, but it's always fun to get some interesting wildlife anyway. I think they do pretty well in urban areas, with plenty of shelter and food sources. They just don't often come out by daytime, but after 3 weeks of rough weather, they must be hungry.
