This lake sits at about 10,500 ft. Early morning light. I was lugging around heavy kit at high altitude and some kids - I call them kids cause they were probably in their early 20s - came skipping along and told me how phone cameras were the wave of the future in a joking-not-joking sort of way, took a few quick snaps and skipped on off. Oh well. I gave them my best "Old Dinosaur" impression, laughed with them and we all had a fantastic day.

There are lots of details I stumble over when out exploring abandoned places and ruin sites. These sacks, hanging in an old lean-to on an agricultural site fascinated me. Initially I edited them with soft golden and auburn tones, but that isn't what I saw, this is what I saw, this is authentic to what they had become. I'm still yet to work out where my line is with editing things, because on the same site, I saw some glass bottles and really brought them to life with vibrancy that wasn't there!

How's the crowd like in Jewel?

very limited, no queue but told me to come back in 10 minutes. Lots of discounts in Jewel...except Apple of course! The shop is nice but looks limited in products.

Time flies - taken in Oct 2016 - but good time to revisit old photos during this situation

This photo is fire, the architecture and the composition is attractive on the eyes. I think it deserves a revisit

Credit to Jørn Utzon, Peter Hall and people of Sydney for creating and putting it there! A truly stunning piece of sculpture and feat of engineering. Hope to visit it again when the renovation is complete (and we can travel again) - and look at the photos in the meantime.

The footbridge at the foot of our small lake; it crosses over the feeder creek that leads to the lake. The birds often like to hang out on the rocks, especially the larger ones further out in the water.

Found a nice spot near home this week. Expect plenty of wetlands birds and marco over the coming weeks.
