As promised, front of the "slightly" modified MGB GT. I didn't look too closely but I'd wager it's a small block Chevy. Just look at that alternator placement and also the a/c compressor, YIKES. I'd have loved to see them shoehorn that engine in that bay. I'll bet that MG goes like stink. Got to say, it's the best looking MGB GT I've seen.

What! No SU carburetor that have to fill with oil. What's the fun in not having that maintenance chore.

The thing must fly !!! , but I'll bet it's more than a bit nose heavy , might be interesting in turns . I wonder if they first installed the engine as a short block and added everything else once the block was in . I'd seen one of the factory MGB-V8's at a show a while back and that was tight . Wonder how they change the plugs?:)

Ask @bunnspecial he’s the expert!

I think I’d like to see a bit more originality!

Calling me an "expert" would certainly be generous!

There are a few folks out there with a business of doing this full time. Now-a-days the popular engine stateside is the 5L Ford Windsor. With some work it can make an easy 500hp. The easy one is the Rover V8, but those are short these days.

These aren't some of my best photographic work(taken in an unheated barn at Pete Mantell's Shop, one of the guys who IMO does the best V8 conversions stateside), but here's, in order,

A Rover V8

A completed 5L swap(ignore the 427 valve cover-Pete told me it was mostly to "p*** people off")

A Windsor fitted to the bay but waiting fitting out

And an LS-the first one of these Pete has done
