DSCF7718.jpg by Ken OHagan, on FlickrTrying out my new Leica 25mm this morning. I have heard that it can have CA issues, but I can't see any in this strongly backlit (sun rising in the background) high contrast image. I quite like the the bokeh rendering too.

Holidays are a sore topic in our house.Loup of Fintry looked stunning in its winter bloom this week. A stark contrast to how it was in the summer! Still almost went on my proverbial in the mud mind you!

Yes, well it is a political game right.... she wants us to go on holiday this year at a stupid cost so she can't suggest I am spending too much can she or I will curb spending on that...

Love it!!!
My favorite owl so far! My daughter has two different colored eyes so I am always intrigued by finding other heterochromatic people and animals.
she’s one of the only 2% people on earth.
Yep, I'm also waiting on those Magnolia blossoms this year.Sucks about the magnolias . Thought about running down to see the blossoms this year , but snoozed on hotel reservations and got locked out . Allegedly we've got 6-12" to look forward to in the NYC area . I've got a pile of bulbs coming up in the yard , seems they're at least a week or 2 behind from a normal year . 4th nor'easter in as many weeks . Who needs this?

Nope, sorry, doesn't work. They still don't match.
I actually rarely convert her portraits to B&W because they are very close to the same tones, so appear the same color usually in BW. And I never flip a photo of her because she wouldn't look right. Interestingly, though, when she draws herself, her eyes are backwards, because she is used to seeing a mirror image of herself.

Lego Knockoff Donald Trump by John Pepp, on Flickr
No idea what these flowers are, but they are real survivors, flowering in the dry hot confines of a very old cemetery on the grounds of an old church close by. They have self seeded all throughout, and seem to have a preference for coming up where the old graves have given way and have now got some serious depressions in the ground.
