On this day, I was testing out my new Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens. The ferry on Puget Sound is 4 miles from where I was shooting hand-held at 400mm (640mm equiv. on 1.6x APS-C body). I had bought the lens for an Africa trip we had to unfortunately cancel 🙁.

Our last cat liked to curl up in the sink too. Not the most comfy place, IMO, but that's never stopped a cat before.

Our last cat liked to curl up in the sink too. Not the most comfy place, IMO, but that's never stopped a cat before.

He was primarily hanging out in the sink to keep cool on a hot summer day.
