I took this one some time ago, still, quite the dramatic scene.

Again, great example of the fact its not always the 'equipment'. Great shot!

Beautiful colour and details. Great perspective as well. Shot while laying down
for your morning prayers?
Not too sure about that ..
More a case of falling down drunk .... ;)

Thanks for the comments.

I'm not really a fan of zoos - for a dozen different reasons - though this shot makes me smile. Dreaming of ice and snow, perhaps... :)

I agree, zoos can be depressing. However modern zoos have changed, more focus on the well being of the animals, less focus on the display of animals. Since we have kids we have visited quite some zoos, simple petting zoos and regular zoos. It's a good way to introduce children to animals they would otherwise not be able to see in real life ( without hopping on a plane, or hiding in a tent in the middle of a nature reserve). Here's one from our recent trip to a local zoo. A nice zoo, large 'cages' for the animals. No animals that really should have larger spaces ( big cats, elephants etc).

a newer building in Penang

We have some pretty old heritage buildings which might be listed soon in the UNESCO Heritage List.

This photo is not quite on the same level as some of the great photos we've been seeing lately, but I like it :).
