Thank you very much! I'm really glad you like it, although based on previous months there's probably going to be a lot of pictures that are going to be much better than mine this month
Thanks worriedmac. I got my camera for my birthday in February, but haven't had a whole lot of time to shoot with school and all. It seems that I lack some of the technique and basics of photography, but have an eye for composition, as some have told me.

Wow, Everythingisnt, these photos are in a whole other league from the ones you posted in your critique thread. This one of the water droplets on the leaf is superb. You're one quick learner!!
The Driver
This is from a photo shoot I did this weekend. I still have another shoot next weekend to shoot a wagon with the horses attached and running for the background. It's going to be turned into a poster for a race they are having this summer.

Very cool... is this with fill flash or is it HDR? Or something else?
I used 3 flashes on it plus the sun. 1 flash through a shoot through umbrella almost straight into his face and the two other flashes off to his sides and just a little behind him. The sun was up over his right shoulder. When I'm done the poster next week I'll post a before and after.

I had already cropped out a bit on the top, but at any rate, this is what I got. I think I might like it better with the grass, but thanks for making me look at it a little differently.

I like the original version better with the grass, I think it weights the picture better.

The only tiny thing I would have done differently is to go stopped down just slightly. The water droplets on the front leaf are in sharp focus, but the middle and rear of the plant are OOF. Having the whole thing in focus would have been nice.
Nevertheless, this is a very good image. Well done!
