Feature the figures more prominently, IMO, or exclude them from the pix. At the very edge of the frame they just distract from the simplicity of the composition...

You have about 10 different shades of white and a beautiful shade of blue. Personally I wouldnt do any post editing unless you want to punch out the ocean, but I wouldn't. Something about remembering it the way you saw it. I like your composition. My 2 cents

cheers bud. my girlfriend had just made the cup cakes the day after I got a couple of speedlites/light stand/umbrella so I thought I've have a little play! They made for great subjects and then they were very tasty whilst doing post!

Final Concert

This is from last night, the Director's final concert. I took some pics from a similar concert of the from a couple of months ago when I first started, and boy with the help of this forum and the book "Understanding Exposure" the improvement is huge. Not allowed to use flash and/or Tripod, D5000, kit lens 55-200. Already starting to save up for the 2.8 Nikon.
