Hot in Cumbria too. Just got back from leading two landscape photography workshops... tired, pleased with the way they went, but glad to be sitting by the lake with a cold beer...

Here's today's group...

Love the framing (although I think the left hand side seems a bit prematurely cut off).
That red tone is really distracting for the shadow though. Was that ps or white balance?

Thanks, it was only about a week after I got my camera so I wasn't too hot on the framing of shots etc.

But that red-ish hue is from photoshop, I was just experimenting with some actions etc. I think it worked pretty well for most of the shot but not so much for the shadow. But thanks :)

My daughter

Took a while to climb all the way up to the fortress, but it was well worth it. Istanbul, Turkey.

Nice photos everyone! I've been playing around with my first few HDR. Here is one of them but some of the colouring/saturation is off in my opinion near the bottom but I still like it. I have a few more I'm working on :)

Maybe find a more elevated viewpoint, looking down on a stretch of road... so the light trails will make more 'visual sense'...

:) thank you for the feedback, im taking a trip out to flagstaff az this coming weekend to scope it out as we might be moving there within the year i know they have a lot to take pictures of. In my neck of the woods were i am now there is absolutely nothing other then some tree's and a mc donalds lol. but thank you much for the comment :).
