Salford Quays...

Shot with a Nikon D60 with the kit 18-55 VR lens. 55mm, f/7.1, 1/200s. A bit of post-processing in Photoshop, but I don't remember what exactly I did

Really beautiful shot man, but its obvious that you've ramped up the blue farrrr too much, as the blue roof on the house is VERY blue, as is the island. There is nothing wrong with saturating certain colours (i did it with my landscape photos) but just try and select the skyline rather than doing the whole photo )if you know how to do this) :)

Return to Form

I used to take portraits all the time, funny because I just bought my first DSLR a mere month ago. Since then I haven't really taken many, so here's a return to Face.

EXIF- Camera: Canon EOS REBEL T2i
Exposure: 0.013 sec (1/80)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 49 mm
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: 0 EV

Semi-latest shot, from my Advanced Lighting class project Spritz the Glass. We had to shoot through wet glass. Glass is wetted with 50% water 50% baby oil. Blood is cornstarch and red food coloring. Shot with Mamiya with Phase One back.

here's the diagram :)

A bit of history. Behind the sign is the San Andreas Fault.

Thanks for the advice! I am still learning about serious, effective, and subtle post-processing techniques. My current PC is useless so I am limited to using a Mac Pro at the school I sometimes teach at when I have free time during the day, which limits the amount of time I can play. But yeah, I was conscious of the extreme enhancements, lol! I'm glad you liked it...

Elizabeth...a.k.a. "little bit"

Practicing my hand holding technique with the 300mm f/4 lens @ 1/50th sec... it takes some patience and a steady hand. My dog just decided to curl up on a pile of clothes I had just washed... pretty typical... ;)

Camera: Nikon D300 w/Nikkor 300mm f/4 AF-ED
Exposure: 1/50
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 300 mm
ISO Speed: 1250
Exposure Bias: -1 EV

Been driving around the country, making photographic scenes and also portraits. Here's one I shot tonight in Minneapolis, with a 5 minute passover in post just to see what options are going to be available when I get to sit down for a few days and edit 40+ images.

Nice lighting. I'm following your shootapalooza blog.
My main critique is the facial expression you have, it's the same in all your pictures: mouth open, eyebrows raised. I would expect a more satisfied look when you're getting a massage... (or is there somebody else in the room with a knife?)

An amazing sky. Looks like something from another planet. Was a storm brewing?

Greg

Thanks for the comment.

There were a few down pours, this week around Sacramento Thursday and Friday. Thursday evening I was able to take a walk just at sunset, so the colors were just wonderful. No rain here in Ripon and my sister-in-laws, looks to to get up in the high 80º today. Great day for a barbecue:)
