New addition after my 1.5 mile morning walk. If the wind is not too brisk, take the canoe. Was able to reach the opposite shore by staying close to the 'calm' side. One person in a canoe raises the bow and becomes a wind sail to fight. Really need a kayak to offset that. Actually, I am sitting reversed in the from seat, looking at the rear. The front has room in front for legs, meaning it is set back further which places me closer to the center and drops the bow vs sitting in that rear seat.

What kind of bird is this?
I haven’t seen it before🙂
Guessing that is some kind of hummingbird?
I guess you don't have hummingbird up there 🙂
As @bondr006 answered you correctly , it's a very territorial hummingbird that lives all year around on the west coast, and we had very cold winters. Two years ago it was colder than usual and few died , alas. I had to warm up its feeder to avoid freezing. Males have red head and they don't allow other hummingbird to come closer to the nectar. You should see the fight they put up.
Nice to see you back as well!
