Actually, I took this photo in December of 2017. Jamestown is the site of the first permanent English settlement in what is now the U.S., founded in 1606. They had a pretty rough go of it at first, so I'm assuming these crosses represent the sacrifices of the early colonists?

Thank you. The colour of some of these planes against the blue sky can be quite striking. This image hasn't been sharpened in post processing. I'll post another plane pic I took on the same day tomorrow...
