HA! Why yes, yes I was. Aviation Nation at Nellis on Saturday. Were you there too? I'm pretty sure only people that were there could figure out I was at an airshow from the picture :)

Nope, I'm here in SE Michigan area, I just looked in the background and saw people on asphalt, and what looked like a portion of a wing and took a swag.

These is my 1st flower shot taken Sunday morning 11/15, outside in my front yard, not yet dead yet here in SE Michigan.
At 1/250, 18-55 kit lens @ 55mm. Focus slightly off, handheld, overcast day with slight mist still in air.

Next time (next year for outside shots....) I'll use flash for more detail, tripod for razor still.

One photo/post, per thread guidelines.
sorry, edited to 1

[edit]
I saw a few others here posting 2-3 picts, guess I forgot the rules.
I'm editing my past weeks postings to just 1 pict.
I agree, this is not our personal gallery, rather a place to post 1 pict and get C&C for that.

The Lake District is hitting the national news, with torrential rain and floods, so this shot isn't from today...

It took me a while to find the first one for comparison. There are things I like about each separately. I think I prefer the composition of the first (with a bit more wall at the left), but I like that the second one has a more level base to it. I like the richer color of the wall on the second one, and the more pronounced wall texture is really nice. The second one is underexposed, however. Either way, it's a nice photo. :D

Many unique qualities to this photo, Madam! I love the fine variation of color and details is the near foreground. The mist or smoke that veils the trees in the background gives this one a feel all of it's own.

Dale

Thanks, Dale. :) Yes, that's the last of the morning fog burning off in the background. Ten minutes earlier I couldn't even see the hills in the background, and 10 minutes later, the fog was all gone.
