This one took some effort. Taken today at Richmond Riverside on my lunch break. Nikon F80 + Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 + Ilford HP5. Developed at home early evening with Patterson tank, Ilford DD-X and the kitchen sink, then scanned with a heath Robinson contraption involving a film holder, Nikon Z5ii, 24-70mm f/4 S lens and two cheap Meke macro extension tubes.

The Auroral displays last night weren't as good as I hoped; so this photo was taken two nights ago (11 November). During editing I had to reduce the amount of "micro contrast" to sort of remove the great number of the lights from the stars. My wife prefers that my photos show the myriads of starts all over the sky. It means that I will have to edit some of the images to show star lights everywhere 😅

Yes! Can easily lead to fires. Clearing them is very important. Have not visited the area for quite some time.
It is the proverbial cycle every year. Heavy rains in the early months make the grasses grow like crazy and the low humidity the rest of the year dries them out. In many areas now it is the law to clear brush and grasses away from structures.
