Thanks juanster, I particularly like the shot you just posted.
haha yes you're right...Over the summer I told myself that I would work on portraits because, well, I've never done them before. Though just today I was downtown (for a RAM upgrade at Beam Echo) and was missing taking city photos so next week you may see some of those.
I actually discovered this effect "by accident" before applying a mask when I was trying to smooth out the edges of the shadow...maybe it'll come in handy some time in the future for a really dreamy looking photo...
Here's another pumpkin shot from me. This was number 2 of 27 taken on Thursday night, I used it as an experiment and training course on exposure and aperture (the one posted on Thursday was number 24/27.) This was taken on the kitchen worktop hence there are some weird reflections (off tiles/bread bin), the later images were taken on a glass table to deliberately get a reflection.
This was a 6 second exposure, f/5.6, ISO 400
JohnMC, like the sky (mainly because we don't get clear skies for those kind of shots!) that would make a cracking desktop pic. Was that a continuous exposure (30 minutes?) or 15-20 individual shots?
Just got my first DSLR (a200) and took this pano image of Wembley stadium at the end of the International NFL game between the Saints and the Chargers.
