I almost trashed it when I saw her head was cut off. But the more I looked at it, the more I liked how it turned out from a form perspective.

I have been really impressed by your sequence of bike photos. Your background in photojournalism shows in the capture of emotion and intensity in these. Great color, framing and expressions. Well done.

No new pix... I've been busy going through my collection. There's a grim kind of satisfaction in deleting the pix that nearly work (but not quite). I'm making sure everything is keyworded properly in Aperture (even though it's boring to do :(), so I can find any pic in seconds.

Churchyard shot with the 50mm 1.8 lens I bought, but seldom use. Time to get more use out of it, I think...

The "ran afoul of DD" comment was regarding file size. I suggested limiting vertical size to ~800px so that they fit full screen. Silly me...

Mr Dale, my tongue was in my cheek when I said that but you weren't to know. Any C&C is most welcome, and your comments whether intentional or silly has made me think about how to display images here. But I don't think this one will fit on your screens!

better picture of stella

Since I included a potential "oops" picture of Stella from a technical (compositional) point of view I wanted to include a more flattering shot before this thread closes out for the month:

Great shot. I'm not sure how much credit I would give to the lens (your eye made the shot, several lenses would have fit the bill). Solid composition and lighting.

We seem to have a theme going here. The chapel at PLU.
Excuse the framing. It's called "old man laying on ground.

It's a chore I've been putting off for some time... and I really need to do exactly what you're doing. I'd agree that you might want to just put that little 50mm on your camera for a week or so, and see what happens. This shot is lovely...!
