Oregon Creek bridge (again)

One more from last weekend's playtime at a nearby historic covered bridge.

This one is HDR processed (Photomatix Pro plug-in to Aperture 3.4.1) from 4 manually bracketed shots, then rendered b&w with the Nik plug-in.

Canon 40D, EF 15mm 'fisheye', f/8, manual exposures, 4-image HDR using Photomatix Pro plug-in, rendered b&w with Nik plug-in, Aperture 3.4

Sunday I stepped outside of my comfort zone and wound up with this image. (Nikon D800, ISO 100, 1/200, f/5.6, 16mm, dual Ikelite DS51 strobes)

This is just a quick first edit in Lightroom. No post other than color, crop and tone.

So we've had two from Mauna Kea, both wide landscapes, grand views.

Here's something intimate and on Mauna Kea itself -- a small pool in an otherwise dry streambed at about 11,000' on the north slope. May 2012.

The red is from algae.

Nikon D300 using 28-300, handheld at 1/100, raw via LR4.

Here is another photo from Peru, this time from the Colca Canyon, which is twice as deep as the Grand Canyon. I am rather proud of myself on this trip, I've stuck to manual mode most of the time (except for sunsets, can't quite get the colors right!?!). I'm still saving to get a lightweight tripod, so all of the photos are handheld.

Tiki - camera question

Shot with the Fuji X-Pro1.

Some nice shots - quick question - how are you getting on with the X1 Pro? Bought my wife the x100 Black and we both love it! I am seriously considering trading my Canon kit as I really love the feel and set up Fuji have got?

Any comments gratefully received!

The original picture was made this summer, but this is a new b&w version. I am now working on a series of this park, which is conveniently close to my home.

This has a very heavy blue cast to it. A slight tweak on the curves in your post will fix that real quick

I took that shot after sunset on a foggy/rainy day, so the lighting & sky were oddly cooler than usual. I did have to bring down some of the highlights so that might've slightly exaggerated it. I didn't add any crazy white balance setting either. :)
