Being a cheapskate , and not needing any more automatic bill payments ,plus being far too familiar with PS , I'm still on Photoshop CS6 , which for some reason did not want to merge these images . Just gave me a blur . Oddly , the bud I posted yesterday was done in CS6 .

I’d still be on CS3 if it weren’t for the recent 32-bit phase out! 🤣

I use LR6. Subscription plans like CC are great for heavy users, not so much for the hobbyist or the casual.

I'm a hobbyist, but I do subscribe to Adobe for LR/PS. I hate paying it, but I actually use both almost every day for my photos, so I do think it's worth it for me.
Yes indeed. I too am a hobbyist but I get a lot out of my subscription software (Capture One in my case). It ends up being a drop in the bucket relative to the rest of the hobby, I find. 😀

I just wish they could find a middle ground on perpetual versus subscription. I think they have less incentive to innovate under a subscription model. It’s just like with MS Office. I think it puts the consumer at a disadvantage, as they own no license and subscription prices will only go up.
