This morning--as my 1st Period Class was on a round-about at the back of the School (an adventure designed for each kiddo to add to the wealth of their individual Terrariums)--I was greeted with a *shreek*! *snake*!!

Upon inspection, I (of course) scooped her up. While I spent time in the holding, and the transference of the heat of my own palm into the body of this splendid specimen, I spent a good-few minutes talking about the differences between cold-blooded, and warm-blooded, organisms.

This cold, wet day then became a fountain of discovery, enlightenment and reflection!

Two kiddos in my 3rd Period (entirely (and previously) creeped-out by the idea of such things) subsequently became enamored of the Experience; one, young, girl actually held this creature for over ten minutes. I watched as her hands progressed from extreme trembles, to a state of immense calm.

The second kiddo responded similarly; I witnessed the first time that she actually became present to experiencing such a thing.

I mean: the distinct, singular immediacy of a person actually conquering their inner-most fear. Real-Real.

It was all absolutely fabulous!

Back during COVID, we were renovating a school gym on our church property and the pastor decided that we should create a location from which to stream our Good Friday service. All of those hard surfaces created an acoustical nightmare, but an awesome sound guy managed to tame it down to an acceptable level.
