Did you take picture through a screen, I found screens mess up autofocus.

Probably, yes. That's out my bedroom window and I try not to take it through the screen but sometimes it seems a better choice than shooting through the dirty window. I'm on the second floor and while I can clean the window on the INSIDE, I've lived here ten years and never had the outside of my windows cleaned. Obviously no way I can do it myself.
