Since I bought a much lighter tripod I find I take it out with me a lot more. Still looks a beautiful spot though.Handheld with the RX100m3. I'm definitely going to go back here with the Fuji and a tripod...

I've been chasing a loudly singing robin for a couple of days now but still no luck. I can hear him but he flits around so fast I can't get the camera to my eye quickly enough

Interesting. Robins have always been some of the tamest birds for me. I can often get within a few feet of them before they take off, or are you saying they just don’t hold still for you?Excellent shot, AFB.

This one is fairly tame. His parents though were not. But he'd show up if we are outside.
This was taken through the patio window though.
Took this one a few days ago with panorama mode in the iPhone 8.
This one is very jittery and flies off if I move indoors, let alone try to get a photo.
I tried sitting still in the doorway today; I could hear him singing but he didn't come out of hiding.
I think that one of the key things for AFB is that the birds in their garden are given food, whereas ours are not.

The main reason we don't feed the birds is the dog, who would hoover up any dropped food and chase the birds away.
She's half greyhound so anything smaller than her is considered prey

Wait, so this is a robin? Our robins don’t look anything like this.
We took our nephew with us today and went to a farm shop to pick our own Strawberries. Think I ate my own body weight in contraband fruit. Good job they didnt weigh me going in!
