Just goofing around with the Zeiss Batis 2/25 lens and I know it's not meant for this type of photography, but I was still interested in seeing the results. I had an old wide angle lens on my Nikon camera and it was terrible with close-ups.
I collect Bobbleheads.
Being the home of the America's first copper boom (and its fair share of iron ore), it's not too surprising to find a beach consisting solely of red stones in the Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Fun fact: if you use data roaming in China instead of buying a local SIM card, you don’t get firewalled and can access all your nasty googles and facebooks with no issues.

Ha ha ha.... some of my favourite shots have come out of “it’s not meant for this type of photography” so fair play!
How many bobble heads are we talking here? I find these things interesting in that here in the UK we never really see them. They never really arrived here at all.

Lovely, I am still trying to get the perfect pebble shot but I never quite get the one I like.

Older cities and counties in the US often do have classic architecture, but sometimes an area develops so much that it outgrows the original building and needs something newer and larger..... In the county where I live, Fairfax County in Virginia, the original courthouse/city hall building is quite old and historic (by US standards, not by European standards, since we're so much younger than any country in Europe). Eventually a new building was constructed and named after one of the more beloved county administrators who had died. However, he county kept developing and unsurprisingly, that building was outgrown, too. A much, much larger one was built -- and some witty soul promptly dubbed it the "Taj Mahal," as it was SO massive! It has since been joined by a couple of smaller, but similar-looking county government buildings and that entire area has now become a huge complex.
Two white flowers wet from the rain. I have no idea what these are, but I see them literally everywhere. Whatever this is, this stuff seems to bloom from April to September.

Those are morning glory. They are really pretty but very invasive as they vine and set seed easily.

Sounds about right.
Due to your hint, I found that these flowers are called "Belle de Jour" on French. That's actually quite nice.
