I got married last year, and now I have hundreds of photos on my hard-drive from various guests at the wedding.

My wife wants to put a selection of them in an album so I'm looking for recommendations for services for printing digital photos. Obviously quality and price and important factors, but since I want to print lots of photos I also need something that will allow selecting batches of photos rather than submitting one at at time.

What do you all recommend?

I use Aperture and had Aperture print up books of family photos, and also some misc photos, inc B&W ones that I could never get right at home with my printer. Very nice and books are a good way to present photos of an event. Mine also included many old photos that I scanned and fixed up.

As for batches of photos, when you do a book/album the program presents a template and you select and arrange photos onto it, then upload the whole thing as a unit and it comes back as a book. You can also write descriptions, passages, sexist comments about the bridesmaids, in whatever font you want.

Without modesty I can say mine looked very professional and was very well received. Again, I used Aperture but other programs must be similar.

Normally I would do that, but we received a rather nice leather-bound photo album as a wedding gift, and so my wife wants to fill it with photos.

Anyone ever got prints through Shutterfly? For standard 6x4 they seem to have the most reasonable price.

I did a series of MetalPrints Wall Clusters & Splits from Bay Photo and they turned out absolutely stunning.
