I have just bought a new iMac Retina and transferred my iPhoto library (75,000 images) from my old iMac. Every thing works as does photo stream with my iPhone and iPad. However on my Mac Air there is a problem. When I turned on photo stream again it said it was going to download 75,000 images!!!! so I had to turn it OFF.
The reason is without telling me apple now says photo stream on Yosemite is not the last 1000 images taken but the last 30 days and it though the transfer to my new device were "new" images.
What can I do?
Leave photo stream turned off on my laptop for 30 days?
You should have the option 1000 images OR 30 days.🙂
