this is the most thrilling post re the new iphones i've seen to date.

granted, i'm a photographer.

but this is freakin amazing!!!!!!!

wish we had more side by side shots to show the diff btw 6 and 6 plus cameras.

No, you're not a photographer. If you were, you would not be exclaiming " freakin amazing!" at a picture that was obviously not shot with anything less than a DSLR and some good glass (read lens). And with curves, highlights, shadows, adjusted.

on his website, he notes he used Snapseed with this photo

in that case ... still great images however Snapseed makes a lot of bad images look great too

he tweaked the output using snapseed

With every day that passes, I regret reserving the 6 instead of the 6 plus!

From OP:
Mann also doesn't make comparisons between the 6 and the 6 Plus, the latter of which has optical image stabilization, but photos taken with the two devices are equally impressive.

There's not a significance difference between 6+ with OIS and 6 without it based on the photos in the Disneyland review.

Unless this is sarcasm, you can't tell him/her what s/he is and isn't - if you take photos then yes, you can consider yourself a photographer.

I hate Apple for this. My pal took lots of pictures with his iPhone 5S during our holidays this summer and I was very impressed with the quality. When I see the comparison shots here, the iPhone 5S pictures look almost like crap. Such huge quality differences each year, it’s astonishing.

Wait, so you're the photographer....?

The exposure control pictures are swapped. The brighter one has exposure control on (you can verify with the Verge article).

I'll be putting off my purchase of an Lx7k until after the 6 arrives; this guy might be good enough.

unless I am way off OIS helps most with taking photos if you have a jittery hand it helps stabilize so if you have steady hands or use a tripod of some kind OIS will not show any huge differences

Low light noise reduction still looks wavy and muddy like the 5. I miss the iPhone 4's noise reduction. Or am I crazy?

yes you are. iPhone 5 even has so much better low-light performance that noise reduction probably doesn't even happen where you already need plenty with 4.

How I feel being stuck on 4s right now:

yes, i'm a photographer, and I don't need a random troll telling me about my life.

i use my iphone for photos more than any other camera. not for professional work, for personal.

the improvement over the 5, which i currently use, is in fact freaking amazing. and if you took the time to read the article linked, you'd see the improvement in unedited photos, which again, compared to the 5 i use, is freaking amazing.

i'm really excited to get my 6 tomorrow with a freaking amazing camera.

thanks pal.

Interestingly on the untouched version the camera seems to now over saturate images slightly. Still a bit too much noise in a lot of the shots but the focus pixels are a game changer.

I urge everyone to go the actual source site and check the video as he says it is shot with a 6S and the video quality is very impressive.

One great shot not in this post is of a panoramic still similar to the first post on here that was done for the extra detail you get from Panoramic mode.

also the glacier shot with all the contrast levels and toning was lovely.

Great camera. Too bad the phone is so thin and slippery you'll probably drop it while taking a picture. ;)

Things sure have come a long way since the green spot on the iPhone 4. Some of you know the struggle:

Another bit of fantastic marketing.

Let's get it into the minds of people what our camera can do (by professionals) before everyday people start sharing their crappy shots.
