Hi,

Can anyone recommend a piece of photographic software for an iMac, OSX El Capitan where you can mount three or four photo's on one A4 page and type in captions.

Apple do not want to recommend one, as they do not make one.

Using text boxes and the like takes too long.

Thanks very much,

Can't you do this using Powerpoint or Word? or do you need it to be full photographic quality?

It needs to be good quality, so as you can print them off just on plain paper for a report. Word takes too long with text boxes. iPhoto used to do it on an older version, but just looking for a simple piece of software. Thanks.

Hmm, sorry, I am out of options. Lightroom can do contact sheets but they dont caption.

Out of ideas I am afraid. Good luck

I would probably use Illustrator for something like that but I'm odd that way. ;)

Otherwise in descending order I would suggest Lightroom, Photoshop, Gimp.

I would not use text boxes in Word but a table. So for four pictures you would have a 2x2 table. Insert the pictures and type the captions below the pictures within the cell.

Full photoshop certainly has the ability to add in captions...not sure if Photoshop elements does...you could probably pick up an older version cheap on eBay?

Yes, I don't know why you would need to mess around with text boxes either. Tables FTW.
