What is happing with this. After taking a photo and then viewing it for a second it looks like the photo adjusts slightly. I tested this taking a photo of a calendar indoors from a few feet away, and what at first looks sharp, then adjusts. Then if I tap to zoom in, the print/dates on the calendar are pretty bad.

Not sure if its connected but photos I’ve first taken with the iPhone 14 Pro aren’t exactly sharp.

Go to settings. Photos. “View full hdr”

Close out of photos app then reopen.

Up to you. If you don’t want the “adjustment” to happen. The actual picture remains the same, just the way it looks on your phone screen changes

ok thank you, I will try this. Still not that happy with the actual photos though when looking on my Mac even. Not sure if some strange focus thing is happening maybe with macro trying when it shouldn’t.

Sometimes the photos app takes a moment or two to render and image for display.
Also make sure you’re not viewing a Live Photo- cuz they move.

Yeah Live Photo is pretty much always off.

Curious about the “View Full HDR” setting in Photos. Is the difference really that noticeable? I can’t really tell.
